Linkage Webhealth Representative – Counties Manukau
2009 - Present

My key role
As a Linkage Webhealth Representative I actively promote the links between our community and the available health and social services in Counties Manukau.  I ensure information is accessible, up to date and available to you on the Counties Manukau Webhealth website, and present the advantages of using Webhealth and the resources available on it, through forums, community networks, hui and fono’s.

My experience
I was born and bred in Manurewa, South Auckland and have worked within many industries, predominantly in customer service roles.  Always being involved with community projects outside of office hours, I decided to get out of my office chair and become a community based Personal Trainer, which gave me the ability to have a hands on approach to making a difference in peoples health and wellbeing.  It gives me great pleasure seeing families learn how to become healthy in mind and body, and working with Linkage Webhealth allows me to foster that positive effect to an even greater number of people.

What inspires me
The innocence and love of what life offers.  As children we see that so very easily but it also means it can continue to exist as we grow as people, and not let ourselves be hampered down with the hardships of the expectations place upon us.  What inspires me, is seeing people open themselves up to new experiences and overcoming their own fears, which is then passed onto more people, and creates a ripple effect of positivity and hope within families, groups and our community.
